Boost your Energy

Many of us suffer from fatigue, low energy and long for our next holiday. Two key factors in boosting and optimising energy are maintaining blood sugar balance and getting enough sleep. It is also important to avoid heavy stodgy foods such as chilled ready meals, foods high in saturated fats, take-aways and high protein meals.

The following steps should help boost your energy:

  • Eat a rainbow of fresh fruit and vegetables to ensure a broad intake of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants
  • Stay hydrated by sipping filtered water throughout the day
  • Avoid stimulants such as caffeine and alcohol
  • Ensure adequate intake of B vitamins and CoQ10
  • Consider supplementing key nutrients (our ability to absorb these from our food diminishes as we get older and high intensity farming methods can result in nutrient depletion)
  • Take time to relax (meditate, reflect, breathe deeply)
  • Take a brisk walk
